Just in Case You Ever Wonder
A book about the assurance of God’s love and presence throughout fears and trails.
Reading Audience:
Young children who enjoy being read to.
Stuff to be aware of:
Nothing other than the topics of death and Heaven.
Overall:
I picked this up because I read online that it could help children process/understand the concept of death and losing a loved one. It does deal with loss and introduces the idea of Heaven, though not in depth. It would be a good jumping-off point to discuss with your child the concept of death and eternity. It wasn’t fully what I was looking for, but it is a good book for kids. The main idea it stresses is that you’re loved, in case you ever wonder.
This is one I would suggest for families looking for a safe kids book the introduces Heaven. However, it is not one I would likely suggest if the family recently lost a loved one. I do have an index of other books on loss and grief you can find by clicking HERE.
