Marriage Workshop/Retreat
Assessment and Counseling
I am certified to administer and interpret the “Prepare and Enrich” Marriage Assessment. Prepare/Enrich has been around since 1977 and more than 5,000,000 couples have prepared for marriage or enriched their relationship through taking the Prepare/Enrich assessment and working with a Certified Facilitator.
There is a fee that comes along with administering the assessment that goes back to the company that created it. There are various ways to handle this fee and the assessment. The assessment itself is emailed out and done by each couple prior to the workshop. The assessment can be a great tool for couples, but does not have to be part of the workshop/retreat. For smaller groups, couples counseling could accompany the assement.

We are engaged in a battle for our children and the future of the church, if you didn’t realize that then you’re losing.

Myers Briggs Type Indicator
I am a certified Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) practitioner. The MBTI is a personality inventory (test) that is based on the work of psychiatrist Carl Jung. It is used not only to help individuals and groups better come to understand their own personalities and preferences, but it is commonly used for team building exercises. Knowing which of the sixteen personality types you and your team (elders, deacons, ministers, co-workers, etc.) have can not only help you come to understand yourself better but also help you understand and work more efficiently with your team. I mix in sound Bible teachings along with MBTI information.

What is the cost?
I do not have set costs for churches. I want to be flexible enough to help larger or smaller congregations. Reach out to me with the details of what you are wanting and let’s see if we can work something out.
What are you qualifications?
I have an M.S. in Mental Health Counseling, but I do not hold a license. I have done counseling for at-risk teens with an agency, school counseling in a high school setting, and marriage counseling in a church setting.
I have twenty-two years of experience in ministry, seventeen of which are in youth and family ministry. I also, as mentioned above, am a Myers Briggs and Prepare and Enrich practitioner.
How long are sessions?
I can flex the length of sessions to your needs, but typically they run around 45 minutes. Some of them are purely speaking, some have activities, and some include time for questions and discussions.
Do you speak on other subjects?
I find joy in speaking, teaching, and sharing God’s Word. I would be happy to teach on any subject a church would like. Many of my speaking engagements are on summer series or at camps. Usually, I am assigned a topic.
What does the Assessment cost?
The cost of the Prepare/Enrich assessment is set at $35 a couple. Depending on the number purchased this cost could go down slightly. None of this money goes to me, but to the Prepare/Enrich company that makes the assessment available.
The MBTI is similar in that it has different levels of cost associated with having the test administered to your team and the results you receive.
