About the Game:

Each player operates a dinosaur ranch and sells their Dino’s to theme parks (think Jurassic Park). It is mostly a resource management style game in which you take out contracts, feed and breed dinosaurs, handle break outs, perform research, and sell your dinosaurs. The game consists of 6 rounds which each have a few short phases. Most phases have all the players doing things simultaneously. Only one phase takes place in turns. During the “assign ranchers” phase players take turns placing their ranchers on different spots on the game board (the game board is actually cards that you put next to each other). During this phase things become a bit more strategic because you are competing with the other players for resources, turning in contracts, researching, etc. Each contract completed, dinosaurs you finish with, and research card you have at the end is worth points. Player with the most points wins.

Replay Value:

It’s fun and I find myself playing this one on a regular basis with my oldest daughter. It might not be one you play more than once in a day, but it will keep coming back out, at least it does in my house.

My Thoughts:

This was a Kick Starter game for me. Just reading about it excited me and once I received it I was not disappointed. I enjoy this one. It is easy enough that anyone can play, but also has enough depth that it will intrigue hard core gamers.
