Currently Only in Theaters

Runtime: 1 Hour 31 Minutes

Rated PG

Porky and Daffy are Earth’s only hope! While working at a bubble gum factory Daffy Duck stumbles upon an alien mind-controlling plot. Porky, Daffy, and their new friend Petunia must team up and save the world!

Themes:

Friendship, slapstick humor, family, home, protecting something that is left in your care, holding a job, the science of taste, aliens, blowing up the Earth, best friends, Earth, teamwork, believing in each other, messing up, falling in love, mind control, gum, and UFOs.

Language:

There is no cursing but the following words are used: ungodly, heck, dear Lord, and by God.

Stuff to be aware of:

Grossness - A piece of gum grows an eyeball. Later multiple pieces of gum have eyes in them. When chewed the gum kind of works like a long tongue grabbing things and pulling people towards the mouth it is in.

Scary - The villain in the movie is an alien with long fingers, sharp teeth, and a very large cranium. Kind of like an old 1960 alien. When people get mind-controlled their eyes turn a different color and they move like zombies. There is also a bubble gum monster that has dentures for a mouth.

Sexual - There is a woman with a large chest, she kind of has to maneuver herself to get in her car. Daffy’s crack is shown and when he realizes it he pulls up his feathers/pants. Daffy twerks while the camera focuses on his butt. He then twerks in videos and on social media. There is a scene of man and woman getting married. There are a couple of scenes where males and females kiss, or almost kiss. A man is seen in his boxers after he gets his pants ripped off.

There are a few things that are said that are sexual in nature. Daffy tells Porky, who is ogling over a girl pig, “That looks delicious” and asks if he wants a piece of that. These jokes go on for a few seconds before the audience realizes Daffy is talking about pie, not the female. After trying a liquid Petuna makes Porky tells her, “You can tickle my tastebuds any time.” He then realizes what he said didn’t come out right and he adds, “for science.” Jokes about probing are made and the word is used multiple times over the course of about two minutes. A monster is trying to stick its tentacle in Daffy’s mouth and Daffy says, “I barely even know you!”

Violence - Plenty of typical Looney Tunes violence such as explosives, falling from high places, and getting smashed by things.

Other - Famer Jim, who raises Porky and Daffy, walks off into the sunset and seems to die. He later comes back and talks to Porky and Daffy in a cloud, like Mufasa in the Lion King. Daffy lays an egg in the movie a few times. Later there is a joke about how it is very hard for a male duck to lay an egg.

Overall:

Seeing It With Your Family

This movie feels like an old Looney Tunes movie but has a few weird scenes and sexual innuendo that reminded me of 90s Nickelodeon. Kind of a Ren and Stimpy feel, but they don’t use that art style throughout the entire movie, just here and there. The sexual innuendo isn’t real heavy, but if you watch some of the old Looney Tunes cartoons they had some of this as well. The original Looney Tunes weren’t designed for kids per say.

What I Thought

This movie is like an hour and a half long Looney Tunes cartoon. If you don’t enjoy the looney-ness and slapstick humor of the original Looney Tunes you probably won’t like this. I am a Looney Tunes guy though so I liked it.

The animation feels like a mix of the original Looney Tunes and 90s Nickelodeon. I did like that the artists drew it to look like a cartoon from the 50s/60s when this type of sci-fi movie was big. It feels like a parody of old sci-fi movies like Mystery Science Theater would watch and make fun of. It has Invasion of the Body Snatchers vibes, which I thought was great.

You aren’t going to get a really deep plot, but there is a very Looney Tunes style twist in the story. Also, there is an end-credit scene, but it is just a gag.
