The Lost World: Jurassic Park
Dr. Ian Malcom is invited, by John Hammond, to join a team to visit Site B to observe and study the dinosaurs that are living there. Of course he says no, until he finds out Hammond recruited his paleontologist girlfriend. Not only did his girlfriend say yes, she is already on the island. So, away he goes. As expected, mistakes are made.

Stuff to be aware of: “You know, I beg people to listen to me.”
If you watched the first movie you won’t find much worse than the first in this one.
Scariness - A stegosaurus family attacks a woman by swinging their tails. No one gets hurt. Several people get stuck in a trailer that goes over a cliff. They hang by a rope, and get cut up a bit. A t-rex smells inside someone’s tent, but doesn’t find the two characters inside. Velociraptors hunt people in tall grass. All you see is people get sucked down and tails whipping around in the air. Raptors tear a woman’s backpack off.
Violence - InGen hunters capture several dinosaurs. They don’t kill them, but they aren’t very caring toward the dinosaurs. A man gets torn in half by two t-rexs. There is a gross, crunch sound, but its far enough back that you can’t see any blood. You do see his body get torn in half. A group of compsognathus attack a guy and bite him all over, including his lips. He bleeds a lot. He tires to get away, but eventually gets killed behind a log. His blood runs down stream in the scene. A t-rex stomps on a person and he gets stuck to the t-rex’s foot. It is dark so you can’t see a lot of details. A man gets picked up by a t-rex by his arm. He is drug up a waterfall and his blood flows down the falls.
A raptor falls unto a sharp stick and get impaled. A man’s hand is hanging on the wheel of a boat, but is not attached to anyone. A t-rex has a chain and a dog house hanging from her mouth. She is chewing on the dog, but you don’t see anything. A man gets picked up by a t-rex and is eaten behind a car. Multiple people die throughout the film.
Other things - There are several dead dinosaurs around a t-rex nest. They have been chewed up and and are rotting. A baby t-rex is eating some.
Overall:
Not as good as the first one, but if you’re gonna watch the new ones you need to watch the original trilogy first. While the story isn’t very creative, but there is some creative cinematography. The raptors hunting in the tall grass is exceptionally well done. The CGI is also a bit dated. I see now why they used so many animatronics in the original.
If you watched the first movie you wont really find anything scarier or more gruesome than the first.
