Overall:

Seeing It With Your Family

We have been watching the MCU movies by release order and this was the first one I was a bit iffy about my kids watching. We did watch it, but being a James Gunn movie, it has plenty of sexual humor and cursing. I do believe this is the tamest of the three Guardians movies though.

What I Thought

As a comic book reader, and specifically Marvel, I was never very fond of the Guardians of the Galaxy, however this movie turned what is kind of a boring comic series into a very fun movie with likable characters. I think these characters get a dose of the actor’s personalities behind them transforming some of them into cooler characters in the movie than in the comics. A great movie, but not always a family friendly movie.
