Fire Tower
About the Game:
The center of the forest is on fire! It’s your job to help spread the flames toward your opponent and keep your own tower from going up in smoke. Each turn you place one fire token in the direction the wind is blowing and play a card. Cards range from ways to put out fires, barricades to stop fire, changing the direction of the wind, and strategic ways to spread the flames. Last tower (or towers if you play teams) standing wins!
Replay Value:
High, if you enjoy a face paced game that makes you think. I watched a short video on youtube and taught my family how to play. The rules are pretty simple, but if you are strategic and plan ahead you can get the upper hand.
My Thoughts:
This is one of my new favorite “quick” games. You can set it up and play in under 30 minutes (if everyone knows how to play). It reminds me a bit of Blockus, but the cards players get makes it much deeper of a game. I really enjoy it. Not only is it fun, but it is also a beautiful game. The board itself is beautifully illustrated and the translucent fire pieces just make it even cooler (or should I say hotter?) when placed on the board. I foresee this one become a family favorite in our house.
